  1. IT DEVELOPS FROM SHOOT APICAL MERISTEM.
  2. IT CONSISTS OF THREE PARTS-LEAF BASE,PETIOLE & LEAF BLADE.
  3. LEAF BASE MAY HAVE STIPULES (LEAF LIKE SMALL STRUCTURES)
  4. LEAF BASE MAY BE SWOLLEN IN LEGUMINOUS PLANT & IT IS CALLED PULVINUS.
  5. PETIOLE IS HOLDING THE LEAF BLADE.
  6. LEAF BLADE OR LEAF LAMINA IS HAVING VEINS AND VEIN LETS.
